Two masterclass weeks are held every year, usually in May and September. The first days take place privately and then at the end of the week there is a masterclass on the penultimate day and a concert on the final day to which Friends of ICMT and others are invited. Those attending can witness and hear the quality of work taking place and also participate in ICMT’s atmosphere of conviviality and community.

The young artists offered a place on this scheme are called ICMT Scholarship Holders. This is because one of the aims of the charity is to offer the week’s study and all accompanying costs completely free of charge. Students will never be excluded as a result of financial circumstances. They must rather possess exceptional talent, potential and a thirst for improvement.

Artist numbers are kept very low, so that each individual can receive an optimal number of tuition hours and mentoring.

Artist participation in these weeks is strictly by invitation only.
